EVENTS ARCHIVE

Help us to complete the construction of a school in Port-au-Prince Haiti for the children affected by the earthquake

Background.
On August 10, VRF volunteers flew to Haiti to help build a school that was destroyed by the earthquake.  The school is located in Port-au-Prince.  From placing bricks to laying the foundation, we worked along side volunteers from Montgomery County to begin the construction of this facility.  We made progress, but there is still more to do.

How can you Help?
The Victim Rights' Foundation will donate $3,000 toward construction materials.  We are asking the general public to open up your hearts to help the children who will attend this school.  If the public will donate $3,000 -- we will meet our goal.  We are seeking $10, $20, $50, $100 or any amount that you can give.  Your contribution will be tax deductible.

What the Children Can Look Forward To
Many organizations have stepped forward to assure that the children are taken care of while they attend school.  For example, the Catholic Charities will donate meals to the children for the next two years.

How Can You Donate
Please click the donate link above and donate as soon as you can.  Your donation will be acknowledged on this website and we will send a picture of the school and the children to you -- when the facility is in full operation.  We need your help and hope that you can make a contribution.
